If you haven’t figured it out yet, we are the “Ski” family.

We are both small-town people who happened to meet in the most modern way — through internet dating — and are determined to make our life one that is filled with faith, love and adventure.

Our story began back in 2021 when Bryan moved back to Valdosta, Georgia from South Korea, all thanks to the United States Air Force. He didn’t know it, but his soon-to-be wife had begun putting down roots in Valdosta earlier that year. And as fate (or God, we believe) would have it, they both swiped right and set forth on an adventure of a lifetime!

We bonded over our shared history of being from small towns and our love for the outdoors.

Interestingly enough, Bryan is from a tiny village in Wisconsin, and Carrie is from a Georgia town she later realized isn’t nearly as small as she thought it was.

Five years later, we are married and have added one more “Ski” to the crew. Although many people warned us our lives would “be over” after having our daughter, we have been determined to prove to ourselves that life can be just as fun and adventurous with a little one!

We hope that we can be an example of a Christ-centered family and encourage others to explore your own town, no matter how big or small, and see as much of the world as you can.

We believe the best way to do life is by sharing as many experiences as we can with each other while loving on people we meet along the way.
